Assessments

An initial assessment will be conducted with your child. This consists of a case history and clinical observations. Subsequent assessments may be conducted to gain deeper understanding of the strengths and skills to inform speech therapy goals.

JL Speech Pathology also supports Autism diagnosis through a multidisciplinary process. We will complete a thorough case history with you, and undertake formal or informal assessments with your child. We will be in contact with the child's kinder/school, as well as any other relevant professionals to gain further information about your child. School visits may also be required to observe your child in a natural setting.

A comprehensive report will be provided to you and your paediatrician. We will discuss our findings with you and set up a therapy plan and goals with your valued inputs.
